HELP!! Unbearably LOW connectivity rate...

by EthericBliss on 2017/02/01 09:58:07 AM
Howdy!!

Let me start by saying "THANK YOU!!" for a WONDERFUL P2 Client.

When I first discovered Tixati I thought that THIS was the ONLY Client that was an option, anymore. Period.

Connectivity was AWESOME! The management system is second to none.

I had FINALLY started to see "Ratios" that matched my Site's ratios... this was a marked improvement to ANY of the other Clients that I have used before...

...BUT!! (Here it comes...) BUT!!

It seems that recently, with the last few builds, the connectivity to other Peers has become more and more unbearable. I THOUGHT that I would "ride the storm" in hopes that this "problem" would be fixed.

It has been TWO releases now, and I have seen this only getting WORSE. NOT better.

WHY???

I am currently running:   v5.21, 64-Bit, Win 7

Is there a "SOLUTION" to this? I was borderline "Fanboy" for this Client (and I RARELY am a "Fanboy" with ANYthing. LOL! Having, at one time EVERY console that was released, by 2010) so I RARELY play "favorites" with anything.

But when I come across something as fabulous as THIS... well, I was quickly finding that I (almost) was running out of options and sliding down that slippery-slope of "Fanboy-ism" with Tixati.

But alas, THIS little "hiccup" has become something that requires the virtual, Heimlich Maneuver.

I TRIED to "reset" and was looking for help, under an erroneous heading and title. I thought that if there were a "reset button" that maybe I could recover my beloved, infallible Tixati via this method.

FYI, here it the Thread that I was using but as you can see... was barking up the wrong tree:

IS THERE "HELP" FOR THIS "ISSUE???" Or is Tixati in a perpetual "broken" state?? Just curious if I should try and switch back (GADS!!! Don't make me do that... PLEASE!!!) to another Client for the time being?

Thank you again, in advance, for ANY assistance that anyone can give in regard to this "NO CONNECTIONS" issue. : ) -EB

try reverting back to a very stable version like 2.34 or 2.47

If those have the same problem, then other things are at play
system settings?
firewall?
AV?
ISP throttling?

With the latest stable, v2.51 and the v2.52 alpha I don't see any problem at all. Showing well over 150 connections

Sorry for my bad English.
I have exactly the same problem as EthericBliss
(Win 7 x64, Tixati 2.49-2.51-2.52a2 x64)
The only "solution" i found is to restart router after opening tixati.

Example:
Start tixati, start seeding 2 completed torrents with more than 10,000 leechers.
After 2 hours, tixati seeds less than 100 MB (1 Mbit upload)
Restart router.
After 2 hours, same torrents, tixati seeds about 650 MB.

I know it sounds crazy but only this works for me.
Last "working" version (without router restart) for me is 2.48.

on the home tab, what does it say for 'peer connections' and under 'incoming connections'? when you run an older version what are those numbers?

^ Exactly!
What was the number in setting of previous TIXATI versions? Did they change the algorithm in newer version 2.51?
