I have a huge channels2.dat file (>800MB). Every time Tixati saves the file it stops responding for up to 10 seconds.
This also stops any streams I am currently broadcasting and results in this message being generated in the channel chat:


12:53:10  Stream encoder dropped segment due to lack of CPU resources.
12:53:10  Available CPU throughput is 10.9 KB/s, stream needs 12.9 KB/s.


Would it be possible to offload the *.dat save feature to a background thread?

what version of tixati and what OS?

OS is W7x64 on rather modern Hardware (12GB RAM, Intel i7 CPU).

I have tried with the newest beta and it has the same issue.

I'm using win7 Pro x64 on a more modest platform (8GB and an older AMD 3 Ghz quad)

My channels2.dat file is about 980 MB and I stream audio in a couple channels.

I get a file write spike each 17 minutes, with a corresponding dropout on TCP for about 45 seconds.

But I have never seen the messages you see.

My channels BW Priority is set to "Normal"
