Hi,
The current options offered by Tixati regarding file allocation include various methods of allocation, but there is actually no option not to allocate the files when a torrent is added. This is inconvenient, especially when you want to add a large number of torrents at the same time.
For example, I added 38 torrents and now 40 GB of my system drive is occupied by useless files.
I do not mean to say that no file allocation should be done. File allocation can be done when a torrent actually starts downloading. I set Tixati to download torrents one by one. If this option is enabled, at each time just a limited amount of valuable system space will be occupied by incompletely downloaded torrent files.
FYI, when the torrents have completed, I move them to another drive/device. But on a slow connection, the download of this 40 GB might take two to four weeks.

Sparse (the default AFAIK) doesn't actually allocate on correct filesystems. If you're downloading to a local NTFS formatted partition (and maybe similar in linux) you don't actually use that 40 GiB unless you download 40 GiB, get it?
Are you downloading to a local, internal external USB or network drive??
BTW you can always change PRIORITY to OFF. That keeps Tixati from allocating period. Should be in the new transfer popup window... Please reply with more information below.
