When I go to Add a New Transfer it always searches my empty floppy disk drive first for around 6 seconds before loading up the New Transfer window, it also often whites out Tixati for about 30 seconds before loading it up again as well.
How do I stop Tixati from searching my floppy disk drive? (I've never used it to load a file from).
Does anyone else have the Tixati white out problem?.

I'm answering my own question here just in case it helps anyone else out.
I now have 8GB of memory installed in my PC as I have turned it in to a Windows XP 32bit / Windows 7 64bit dual boot system.
Adding more memory has made a vast improvement (although it obviously still searches my floppy drive when I add a new torrent) the add torrent window now pops up within around 2 seconds and no longer hangs/whites out, it used to take forever adding a bunch of torrents before I upgraded the RAM.

If you never plan to use FDD in anytime soon, then simply disable it in Device Manager (Floppy disk controller in DM - Windows OS environment - normal level) or disable it in BIOS (lower level). After finish that, you don't have to worry about resource consumed by it anymore, because it disappears. Whenever you want get it back, simply enable the device and use it.
