*.magnet  as a supported file within watch folder

by TDD99CA on 2017/01/14 09:44:14 PM
Hi all.

From what I see, Tix only looks for a .torrent file, or a properly formatted magnet link in a *.desktop or *.url file.

I use some site and whatever it finds as a valid torrent, it first tries to fetch a torrent file.  Barring that, it next finds a magnet link but saves that link as a *.magnet file.

I really just open that file and copy/paste the proper magnet link to Tix and all is well.

It seems like a simple add to have Tix accept a *.magnet file as a valid black hole file.  Could one also just modify the options to further allow the user to just specify filetypes/extensions to scan for within the watch folder?

Thx!

TDD.

One year later...any plans to support this simple add?  Tixati is so much better in many ways over the competitors but this holds it back.

+1 I need to have a batch script to rename my files to .desktop so that they are picked up in Tixati, it would be great if they were just picked up.
