Would it be possible for you if its just a compiler switch to build a G4 PPC compatible build for Ubuntu-Mate 16.04?

As a hobby I like to refurbish legacy equipment and make it usable again.

Don't worry about it if it adds complexity to your build process, just curious more than anything.
