Tixati 2.43  says icon not displaying properly

by loninappleton on 2016/12/14 12:36:43 AM
I get this error every now and then.  Just now there's no icon in the tray (I never know which is which.)  Sometimes I get the error message.

I have looked in settings and think they are ok.

I don't want an autostart at bootup.

Only think in my tray is Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit.

Check with the newest version.

Ok.  I'm staying a couple versions behind to avoid the trip-ups people describe with the new releases.

Is it then only 2.49 that has this error repaired or the last--
I forget what you call them-- stable release?  You use the word legacy or something for major stable upgrade versions.  I can't recall it.

In the Main Window Close Button action and Main Window Minimize Button action I have Hide in Tray in both items.

I did a search for "tray icon" and this is reported before.
Unsure if it is fixed in 2.49. Technically yes, every version posted to this forum is "stable". i.e. the dev didn't change lots of code.
But like we saw for anything under https://testing.tixati.com  it's very likely "alpha/beta/testing" will have bugs and stability issues.

From the search the "window manager" appears to be at fault when not on Windows. Windows only comes with 1 shell, though you can replace explorer.exe ... So I'm guessing you're using Linux version. Providing your shell / os version and logs about whatever windowing errors could help. I do not know where these logs would be.

I just exported a fresh my config.

Will report my success.

I did the 2.49 upgrade with no headaches so far.  And it found my config and share folder ok.
