Latest version not safe according to my Norton virus checker

by baggittw on 2016/12/08 05:46:56 PM
I have tried several times to update to this latest version. I have been using Tixati for several years now the program is great . Norton checks the download each time says the download is not safe and has been deleted from my system .  What do I do ? now !

If you're sure that you're downloading directly from this site's links (not from some other site), simply disable your AV while downloading and installing, or add an exception for Tixati to its whitelist ? Better yet, see if it has an option not to try auto-detecting "potentially dangerous programs" or whatever it calls them, since all that does is deleting stuff you probably don't want deleted - AVs should be used to detect and clean viruses, and that's it. NOT to try and think for you in the usage of your own computer and files. We don't need "Big Brother" AVs. Personally I recommend on-demand scanners as opposed to real-time AVs.

it simply detect it as a modified windows executable, the same way hackers or programmers do to create files and so your AV find it risky and suspicious.
