Tixati 2.48 64Bit - waiting to move

by Guest on 2016/11/25 07:13:21 PM
Hello, in Tixati 2.48 64Bit on Windows 10, files finished stay freezed with the message "waiting to move". If I close and restart tixati, the files are completed (very slowly), the "incomplete.$file" is removed, but they are not moved to the finished location. Also disk activity is creazy. How can I do?
Bye, and thanks for your very good work.
Andrea.

Waiting to move.. means if you look at the log it is pending the transfer operations.
(only 1 file will be moving, you see ___ of ____ MB moved. then flash 'complete' then 100% in status column of files tab) All other operations will be in this pending status.
What are your folder locations setup like?
I would suggest keeping folders together for incomplete, THEN complete on the same drive, c:\inc -> c:\seed
Then move to a different drive (this is because the internal move between different disks is slow based upon your RAM and disk bus speed. ARE you moving to a network or external / flash drive?? Also are you noticing this when adding transfers? Because file operations in tixati are atomic, i.e. one at a time per disk. You cannot make it go faster by pushing more transfers concurrently when completing/moving.

Looking forward to more information.

well, thank you for your reply. Directory are on the same drive e:\tixati\incomplete and e:\tixati\finished. I also add the incomplete$files option in the e:\tixati\incomplete dir. It seems that tixati is not able to move one file and all the other stay freezed in the moving queue, while the disc-heads seems creazy. No log is generated. If I stop tixati and then restart it, more files are moved from 'incomplete' to 'finished', but after a bit it starts again to be appended in the aeternal moving status. The incomplete prefix is removed.
Bye and thank you.

Uhm, iirc you can select :
Settings -> Transfers -> Files "move files immediately" and "directly move file/folder" .. this is a "remap" for same partition moves, sometimes for same physical drive... but unknown since I make the last step backup to DIFFERENT physical drive (external/ network/ nas, etc)
If something else seems odd after trying those options please update :)
