Hi guys. My isp at home is 5 miles away & the 'speed' is a mere 0.4mbps.
Tixati thus downloads @ circa 45k with optimum settings. As these are usually done at night, can I do anything to increase the allocation?
(I was recently on a 100 plus mbps connection watching tv series download at the same speed as a book would at home. The ache inside was too much!! :) )

My brain just partially engaged enough for me to realise this is an OS issue. Humble apologies.
However, if anyone does know how to do it with Win 7 Ultimate 32bit I'd be very grateful.
I think I know; but that can be the way to disaster :)

Click OPTIMIZE up top in the toolbar.
After the first 5 minutes on a swarm, your download depends on your UPLOAD
This is mostly irrelevant in seed-heavy swarms, but since those are rare, prioritize your setup for "optimum" throughput putting 10-20 KBps per peer per transfer you run.
If that first number is indeed .4 Mbps meaning 400 Kbps thats 50 KiBps as you said, so scale that accordingly. As far as your OS issues, the only things which interfere with bittorrent speeds are 1) security software messing with the files you download in RAM all the time 2) security software messing with the tixati.exe process (set an exception) 3) ISP limits which you have no control over aside from trying to ensure encrypted connections, or perhaps sidestepping their shaping policies by buying another service to tunnel your traffic on a common port.
After reading OPTIMIZE up top with questions, please list them below. It is immensely difficult to "help" you with only knowing your OS ;)
