When I start version 2.47, is starts normally. It will begin downloading a few things, uploading others. After a couple minutes, it slows down and stops (both up and down).
I also notice nothing else can see the internet, either. So, I shut all the software down, reset the computer and nothing works. None of the other computers on the LAN can see the internet anymore. If I power my cable modem down and up, all is well (till the next time I rin Tixati).
I have used Tixati with this modem on this service for years with no problem. Now, I miss my magnets
Any thoughts?

Are you sure it's just with v 2.47?
Try to take Help -> Diagnostic -> Network options ...Not sure the difference between the different socket options.
If you copy a log when it happens after 5 minutes (you should open diagnostic beforehand so the file will have old info too and stop around the error)
and try to compare it with 2.43 version log after same amount of time. What looks different for the log?
N.B. after upgrading did you re-make any applicable rules you setup for your firewall/security software?
Also are you sure the modem is frozen, unresponsive? Can you still ping it? Can you login to its control panel? IF you can see its logfile it would probably provide the most information.
