Finished rolling out v2.44a4 to a series of 40ish seedboxes all running either Win7x64 or Win8.1x64. Within minutes, the tixati's across half of them were frozen and unresponsive, with all of them being unresponsive after an hour tops. unable to be task killed, requiring full system reboots to run tixati.exe, exactly the same as:

This bug has existed since at least v2.42, as I usually have to restart the seedboxes once a month on average as I login to find them frozen and unkillable, but just didn't care to dig or solve, figured it was on the list of things to fix. As of v2.44a2, the problem became about once or twice a week as another poster mentioned. As of v2.44a4, tixati would usually be toast within minutes.
Removing all torrents, reinstalling, etc. has no effect, and usually tixati wouldn't actually close or save settings in most cases. After much experimentation, I finally solved it, as my seedbox network was toast on the latest versions. Every seedbox had different configs and settings and added torrents, yet the problem was across all of them. How I fixed it? Properly toasting the C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\tixati folder and resetting the settings from pure scratch. A settings import brings the problem back in, so a import cannot be safely used. After several hours of experimentation across my seedboxes, all of them are now running like clockwork once again.
As other people have complained about this problem, I would ask them to try this as well and see if it fixes the mystery hangs. Apparently something in the config/corruption from the older versions before was causing these problems.
