I can't set mine, either, but I'm using Windows 7 Professional 64-bit, SP1. The Select Download folder window hangs. When I click on something, I get a processing circle until I get the Not Responding message on the window's title bar.

Edited to add: Uninstall 1.96 (64-bit) and installed 1.94 (64-bit). I had a new install of Windows 7 that I put 1.96 on, but 1.94 had worked just fine previously with the same OS on my old install. Now 1.94 doesn't work, either, with the same problem.

I'm going to try installing the 32-bit version to see if it changes anything.
Edit 2: Changing to 32-bit corrected the problem with Tixati freezing when trying to set a download directory for me (Win7 64-bit SP1).
