So right now I have a shortcut pasted into the startup folder and it launches fine, but it fills my screen at startup and I have to minimize it everytime. Can I just get it to where it starts in the background and the main window doesn't open unless I do so manually?

There is a setting in "Shell Integration" tab of Tixati settings, that lets you start Tixati at boot, there also is a setting to start it hidden in tray. Screenshot attached. I hope this helps. http://puu.sh/qsUm7/bc1e699bce.png
