Everytime I try to open a file or folder from within Tixati's menus, the program hangs, unhangs after a few seconds for no more than one second then repeats the cycle. After it unhangs, every single task the program might be doing slows down to a halt and won't ever speed up again.
If I have 5 transfers totalling 10MB/s (not a hypothetical situation) and I try to open a file/folder, when Tixati unhangs no transfer goes past 10KB/s.
It always happens.
Only way to fix it is by restarting Tixati.

I'm using the same setup (2.38, Win7, x86) and haven't experienced anything like that.
Does it happen with any type of file, or maybe with only specific file types ? Could be something related to how your file system deals with given file types (such as a codec thing for audio or video, etc), and not necessarily tied with Tixati.
It could also be related to security software, such as an anti-virus suite - make sure all permissions/exceptions are enabled for the new version of Tixati, and temporarily disable said security software to test it out if necessary.
