Raspberry Pi (ARM)

by Guest on 2016/04/18 08:33:57 AM
Hi, I have now switched from Tixati to Deluge because I am running my torrents on a pi now.
When will Tixati be available for ARM?
Are there any plans?

Tixati for Raspberry would be nice, I have thought of this some time ago when I realized that my PC running 24/7 for p2p transfers (tixati) is much more costly than to run a Raspberry for that purpose.
But then I've learned that I could easily have a 24/7 p2p client running without any more hardware than a openwrt supported router. I already had a TPLink WR1043ND v2 running ROOter, so it was only needed to install Transmission and configure it. Best p2p downloader ever!

But, yeah, having Tixati for Raspberry Pi would be great.

I am getting a Raspbery Pi for seeding and will also have to use Deluge instead of tixati :( I love this program, please port Tixati to ARM when you can :)

Maybe they should put this onto a long term goal for this project.  I can tell you one thing, if you where able to port over to Rasberry Pi (ARM) and add complete step by step guides (and incorporate onto the homepage), I believe that this would be a great boom for Tixati!

The selection for Pi is very slim and if you could do this, I know it would open up new exposure for Tixati.

But since I'm not a coder, I could only imagine what would be involved in this, but I tell you, I would be HIGHLY EXCITED for this project.

Reading the changelog this would be another time "in anticipation of new OS/platform" ;)

I am amazed that the same config data works seamlessly (currently with Lin/Win versions) and would expect that to continue. Keep making with RPI
