Could someone have made Malware for Tixati?

by Guest on 2016/04/15 07:20:18 PM
I ask this because I have noticed that whatever magnet link I add, there is this Russian on it.
If i use port 89, this person/dummy whatever uses port 89, if i change it to 777 and add another magnet link, there he is again.
I put him/her/it on ignore, but it bugs the hell out of me.
I just added a 9 year old magnet with no seeds or peers, and there he is again?
(Current IP shows X.X.X.X , flag shows Russia, and port is always the same as mine)
I have used bleachbit to clean , but it does not help.
OS = Ubuntu 14.04 with Sophos as AV,
Tixati = 2.34 (was 2.31)

Probably not.

are you running the DHT?

some clients show their port to you as yours, just regular bad/crap client. some clients hit everything on the DHT they can find, so that means you. if they don't give you any of the file just ignore if you want.

yes ,running DHT.
I just find it weird that any torrent or magnet I load , this particular person is on it.
Doesn't matter from where or how old the torrent is.
I run tixati on windows and get the same torrent , poof, he is not there?

I've noticed similar, I've always just assumed it was the standard MAFIAA trolls bots connecting to and trying to collect chunks from people to verify if that IP is sharing pirated content, hence the magical clone peers on any torrents you run. I just assumed my IP likely had been flagged for more invasive monitoring to build up a 'case', but this is why we all use VPN's.

Sounds to me like a self-connect. In other words, that guy is you.

Actually figured that one out.
My friend entered a few trackers to try and help me finish a dead / dying torrent.
Instead of adding it to the torrent directly, he added it to the settings, so it added to every torrent.
Suppose one of those was bogus.

Can we change this one to SOLVED?
