I am not sure if this has ever been officially revealed.
But others have asked before what it means and how to pronounce it. Since it is written in English (though in French Canadian territory), I think we can figure it to be an English pronunciation until further notice. I think you have it..

I also proposed a twisted explanation. South of the border (from a US-centric perspective, iow Mexico), "x" can have a "ch" sound (i.e. from MeXican, CHicano). Since Tixati has those unique chat channels, maybe it sounds like Ti-chat-i. But that is really grasping.
Besides, if you are introducing someone else to this great program, there is very little possibility that they would know the 'official' correct pronunciation. Ticks-Ahh-tee works for me.
