v2.34 Win x64 installer cert corrupt or invalid

by rinch on 2016/02/27 11:22:55 AM
I'm getting a certificate corrupt or invalid error for the 64-bit Windows installer .exe. This is definitely new for 2.34 and didn't occur in previous versions.

I'm using Windows 10 x64 with Edge, Chrome and Firefox.

I have tried downloading the installer from all 3 download locations, from multiple browsers and on multiple occasions, I get the same error in all cases.

When using Edge, the browser checks the file and flags the signature as corrupt or invalid. Other browsers allow the download without error, but then the install is blocked by smartscreen.

check the information at http://support.tixati.com/Release%20Verification

Note what the dev has to say.. in the linux gpg section:
You should see something like this:

gpg: Signature made Sun 04 Oct 2015 12:20:39 AM EDT using RSA key ID 1AF5DCFB
gpg: Good signature from "Tixati Software Inc. (KH) <s***t@tixati.com>"
gpg: WARNING: This key is not certified with a trusted signature!
gpg:          There is no indication that the signature belongs to the owner.
Primary key fingerprint: 9DEA 5E35 0F9D 285E 46D3  B7E3 CE73 7F19 1AF5 DCFB

The important part is gpg: Good signature from "Tixati Software Inc. (KH) <s***t@tixati.com>"

dunno why the cert is "not trusted" but I trust the dev on this.

With the windows installer, right click on the download and click "Properties"

Then go to the Digital Signatures tab. the name of signer is Tixati Software Inc.
Highlight (select) that and click the details button. From there you can click the View Certificate buttom and by selecting the Countersignatures and clicking that Details button glean more info to hopefully satisfy you of its validity.
