Tixati is the best but has a big bug

Tixati is the best
Unfortunately I can't use it.
I am now downloading from my PC and storing directly to a network drive.
The problem is that every few minuts Tixati is checking the files being downloaded
over and over --> it's very slow.Useless.
I Hope this bug to be solved as for me Tixati is the BEST, but I am
with qBittorrent
bye

Most likely the file server or somthing accessing the files is changing the date attributes on the files causing to think they have changed.
Maybe the option for "Skip last-write time checks" would be helpful, Settings -> Transfers -> Files.

Maybe you can set the incoming folder to a local drive, then when the transfer finishes, have tixati then move it to the network drive.

Having the same problem, I am in a constant rotation of waiting to check and checking. Transfer speeds drop to next to nothing and Tixati will flash and lock every 30 seconds to a minute. Unfortunately I don't have the space locally for bigger files so that only works for some tors. When I do download locally and move on complete I can loose an hour or 2 with the transfer to nas.
Clock for router, NAS and PC are a match
Another note, Checking is taking about 6Mb/s which seems odd to me.

Did you try the option for "Skip last-write time checks"? Settings -> Transfers -> Files.

If simply moving a torrent over your LAN to the NAS takes an hour or two, either it is a monstrous size torrent or you have some network impediment. If qBittorent is actually much better, maybe there is some settings that are not optimal in Tixati.
That said, there are some known issues related to disk I/O that interrupts the normal flow but these are being addressed. Keep checking back with Tixati over the next couple months.

Thanks for the reply, I have made some progress with the checking turned off although the checking at start up is cumbersome still. It's not that the files are overly big but transferring while it's checking brings it to a snails pace.
I would much rather wait it out than use any other software out there. For now I will make room and transfer after seeding to NAS via windows.

Hi
storing locally ant then send to the NAS is simply not an option.
qBittorrent does not make difference storing locally or over the network,
it works well in either case.
I tried the option you say to skip checking the file and the problem remains.
qBittorrent is set not to allocate the space and it works simply well.
I still prefer Tixati anyway. Hope this bug will be solved in a near future.
Bye

I have this problem too , it seems to be related to network drives ... anyone has any idea why ? I have used the solution given by you , to deactivate file checks and it seems to be working , but this leads to the following question ...by deactivating the file check , does the file still gets check at any time ? Or all file checks have to be made manually by force check ?
Suggestion : make the program check the file only once at the end of the download to make sure the entire file got downloaded ,and once every time the program starts.
What i think is happening is that there is an automated trigger that triggers the file check while the file is downloading and obviously because the file is not entire it triggers the file check and so on , disrupting the download an possibly corrupting it .

If this is reproducible perhaps using Help -> Diagnostics -> File Operations Log and running an example torrent would help solve it.
Reason I say AN EXAMPLE, 1 torrent depending on size/files/status can make ALOT OF log operations.
You can let it run long enough for one cycle of download/complete/recheck... Even looking at that log lines may help you solve.
IF NOT you can email devs support (att) tixati.com
Perhaps those experiencing the issue can help resolve it instead of working around?
