I am not a computer newbie, nor am I new to downloading. I was drawn to Tixati after reading the developer was from the province Ontario, Canada (where I am from) and the biggest reason was their promise of no viruses and ad or malware.

My issue is I have spent hours trying to research how best to use Tixati, but there is so many terms and settings that I get frustrated that I just use what loads.

I know there is a guide for Optimizing Tixati, but if you do not understand the terminological it still reads like Shakespeare LOL.

So I someone could help me with a really informative guide on how to setup and maximize and explain DHT and other like terms, I would be forever in your debt.

I think the most important things to get started are, set your port in Tixati, tell your anti-virus you trust Tixati, open that port in your firewall and configure your router to also pass the port you set in Tixati.

Once you've read through that a great many of the settings and possibilities will become clear to you. Then you can search the forum for things that you feel are 'sticky' for you. And, of course, you can use the forum to query things that you can't find information for by the above methods.
