Torrent has stopped due to File system limitation (665).

I'm running on Windows Vista for my sins, Home Basic Service Pack 1.

Does the setting lie in Tixati or a Windows setting?

You probably need to defragment your drive.

This happens with Windows NTFS drives sometimes.  The file system throws this error when some of it's internal allocation tables get filled up.
