Set Priority > Sequential > Aggressive & Priority > Front and Back First > Aggressive on the file you'd like to stream. The client will attempt to pull in pieces sequentially, plus the tail-end of the file, which is necessary to play-back some formats whilst still incomplete.

put the file on sequential priority, and you can want it immediately, as long as you have decent download speed :)

Tixati does not ascribe to be "jack of all trades".. It allows streams of audio/video . . thru ffplayer or vlc
There is the option Files tab -> File -> right click OPEN for a single file will pass the shell command to open the file. I would suggest VLC. It is able to pick up incomplete streams pretty well.
This is the reason for "first & last AGGRESSIVE, for the header/tail info for the player to know what to expect"... After that you need to be pulling from some other fast uploaders to watch IMMEDIATELY, I let it buffer for 2-5% usually and it can keep up depending on bitrate (1080p i.e. may take alot longer)
