Sequential downloading not working - 2.16

by John on 2015/08/20 09:31:13 PM
Sequential downloading is not working. Even on "Aggresive" mode it still doesn't work. Win 7, 32-bit.

The first file downloads almost always last. In fact all the files download randomly.

Please fix this. Thank you.

Are you sure you're not confusing sequential piece downloading with file prioritisation?  I say this because setting a file to download "priority > sequential > aggressive" means the client aims to pull in the pieces that make-up that particular file sequentially, not download each file in the torrent one after another.  For doing that you should set priorities on each file instead: "priority > (off, to ultra-high)".

Sequential only works on a specific file not a group of files. If you want to change the order in a group you must use priority. Tixati always goes after the rarest piece first which is why the first file usually is last because many others download first to last making the first file the least rare.

Files -> (right click) -> Priority -> Ordered
Overrides basic priority but is usually subservient to anything higher than ABOVE NORMAL
