It is no secret that actual chat is a rather rare occurrence in the tixati channels.
We have discussed this for months and months in various channels, trying to stimulate more chat interaction.
Settings/User Interface/Behavior has options to flash the tray icon for channel activity and private messages. If this were augmented with options for audio alerts it might help improve the chat atmosphere.
A simple option to "beep" on msg would help. A more enhanced system even more.
User definable, custom sounds would be nice for:

* from someone on friends list
* specific user
2] private message
* general
