This did not occur in 2.12 or older.

Create a new torrent, while that torrent is hashing, go make a 2nd new torrent, most times the UI will lockup while in the "Select File for New Seed" or "Select folder for New Seed", as soon as the hashing is done it becomes responsive again.

More of an annoyance then anything.

Tixati 2.14a3 freezes not only when hashing a new torrent, but also when you perform regular hash check on existing files.

The program becomes totally unresponsive. This is a serious bug.

The hashing process is extremely slow and resource heavy even when the program doesn't hang. My Warcraft III froze, along with the entire OS and I had to restart the computer.

This needs serious optimisation.

I've had this happen several times, however, as long as I'm not hashing something over a few GBs, it only locks the application and unlocks after the hashing finishes.
You could try switching the file allocation method from the default (Sparse) to Fast Allocate for the time being.

im sure alpha4 will have this fixed.

Confirm UI freezing on v2.25 with piece size 4MB and 8MB.
When using piece size 2MB the tixati window would dragging hardly, but UI still working well.
