If i recall correctly, with pre-2.11 version if you left the channels/nick blank you would be assigned a different guest### nick for each channel you joined. It appears that useful feature has been removed. Or moved to a place I can't find.

I see under v2.12 you can go to *Contacts* then click the *Local User* button then *change name* to enter a *Name* which will be used in all new channels by default. As I recall, with prior versions we had the option to leave it blank and be assigned a randomized nick by number. This new method requires some nickname to be entered. If it is left blank the *ok* button becomes grayed out, disabled.

Was it intentional to remove that functionality or did an incidental quirk slip in during the revision process?
