RSS feed Bad SSL data

by Guest on 2015/04/30 06:18:49 PM
Hi,

I've used Tixati for many years to download. But since a few days it won't work anymore. The feed URL has status Bad RSS data. The link I use is:

(Removed by Mod)

The link posted by the web site is without the 's' in HTTP, but without Tixati says No response headers.

It works on µtorrent, but I don't like µtorrent.

Thanks for any help.

Tixati need to use/include better SSL/TLS Ciphers.

I believe the problem is while going through CloudFlare with a TLS v1.0 attempt.  uTorrent gets through with TLS v1.2. A few months ago CloudFlare stopped using RC4 cyphers but they say they support TLS v1.0, v1.1 and v1.2. With TLS v1.0 in Tixati, the client hello gets a fatal Alert (21) from the server with a description of "Internal Error (80)". Don't know why Tixati doesn't negotiate for TLS v1.1 or v1.2.

Nice Find.

Note even with 2.14a2, still getting Bad SSL Data with a "ClouldFlared" Tracker.

This is 1 of only 2 issues I have with tix currently, relatively minor, but I hope its being worked on.

send those rss feeds to the devs with small explanation, be sure to mention the CloudFlare aspect. support@tixati.com

Its not just RSS, its trackers as well.

See the issue raised by Napsterbater in http://forum.tixati.com/support/1775/.  Very nice find. Probably explains why the negotiation never got far enough to use TLS 1.2.

Paraphrasing: Tixati cannot connect to TLS Trackers or RSS feeds that are hosted by CloudFlare because Tixati does not support the TLS Extension "Server Name Indication" which is required by a CDN.
