Please explain the significance of channels and also the use of the random port option.  My port is unrecognized and stays that way now over the past 7 days.

I do not know how to use channels.  If they have to do with chat it's not something I need but if it relates to 'server not found' errors I'll move to the upgrade.

upgrading cant hurt. maybe make a backup before hand.

channels are for chatting, sharing and searching.

Can channels be used to find private trackers?

I am looking specifically for servers which would want theatrical plays on video
such as those from BBC and host the torrents.
