Location of tixati's active torrent files

by Guest on 2015/03/13 08:25:23 PM
I am transitioning from utorrent to tixati (windows version).

Utorrent keeps a copy of each active torrent file in its "User\AppData\Roaming" folder. In that folder you can see a torrent file for each active transfer, even for those created by a magnet link.

Where does tixati store the torrent files of its transfers?

PS) I know that there is a configurable setting in trasfers--->metainfo for the location, but I am curious about the default tixati behavior.

They are stored in the download location so settings/transfers/local files/ First line is your download directory. Incomplete pieces can be found there also, default is roaming tixati incomplete, and they should stay there.

I was referring to the actual *.torrent files, not their downloaded file contents.

The corresponding option seems to be in "Settings->Transfers->Metadata->Save a .torrent file in this folder when a new transfer starts"

In that option, I haven't selected a particular folder... so what is the default location of the active *.torrent files?

For instance, utorrent uses its "User\AppData\Roaming" folder.

Does tixati store the metadata info of active transfers in another format (maybe, in its incomplete pieces folder) and not in the standard *.torrent file format?

Thanks again for your time!

Yes. The metadata is stored in one of the DAT files. Which one I don't know at the moment - although it's irrelevant, anyhow.

The .torrent, hash or magnet is only stored in memory unless you specify a location to save it. That said the .torrent file is stored in core.dat while it is active in tixati. That is located in a drill down from appdata to tixati.

Major thanks for the technical clarification!

Hello,
Thank you to the person who posted the location of the Tixati file lists.
My problem was as follows, Windows 8.1  gave trouble loading so I opeted to repair the installation.
This happened but it did an install with my files but not my programs.  I had quite a few partially completed Tixati downloads but since i had to reinstall Tixati I had no list of the downloads to use.  The downlaods folder has all the completed and partially completed downloads but no Torrent list.
Thanks to your help I went to the Windows Old folder, fould the Appdata roaming folder for Tixati and simply copied its contents to my new user profile and Bingo it works.
So thank you for this.
Stephen
