Comodo firewall + tixati

by mrzxc on 2013/08/28 10:15:33 AM
hi there,

I started using tixati recently and I have a couple of questions about the ports it's using for the incoming traffic.

The incoming ports are configured as fixed and upnp forwarded. They seem to be working just fine. As soon as I open tixati, the firewall detects the traffic from tixati.exe on that said ports, Allow and starts to do it's thingies. But a couple of seconds later it starts to ask for incoming connections on svchost.exe on a (random) port that is not defined anywhere on tixati. Why is it triggering svchost directly and through different ports?

thanks in advance.

Most likely these are outgoing peer connections. They are established using a random, high port number. The firewall claims it's incoming connection but in case of UDP it doesn't really know that. You can set Outgoing Peer Connection Protocol to TCP Only and see if there will be more communicates like that from your firewall.

I found that svchost.exe is used for IPv6 over IPv4 connections, maybe try Network Mode IPv4 Only.
