Once i hit download torrent, i have to hit browse, then another browse, then scroll to tixati then ok. and it wont let me check the box that says "do this automatically from now on" i remember it did in the past but it wont now

Sounds like a file association issue, i.e. what program is associated to open torrents in your system.

In Tixati, go to "Settings -> Shell Integration" and use the "Check Now" buttons to ensure Tixati is the default handler for .torrent files and magnet links.

Also check your web browser options to make sure it's redirecting your torrent requests to Tixati (in Firefox, for instance, it's "Tools -> Options -> Applications").
