I am posting logged in, but my posts are showing a guest.

This seems to occur while your post is waiting to be authorized by a mod.  I made a new thread earlier and it said guess, but once they approved it, it changed to my name.  Only you and the mods can see the thread until it is approved, so probably not a big deal.

It appears that there is a logout timeout that is too short.  I was logged in, but now I'm a guest, lol.

Yeah, it's about login timeout too short...

You login with username but in the time you reading, browsing and typing..Maybe, you already automatically logged out (and you don't even know because it's fast) and press "Post Reply" button make your post appears under Guest name.

And this issue has got nothing to do with review procedural by forum Moderators. It's another story regardless you login or not, you post/article/topic must be reviewed before they display it public. If you post as Guest, that article stays always Guest (unlike the way someone else think about it above. His case probably he already press post but see nothing, then he logged-in and re-post again, and it's 2x posts, which sometime mod only approved the logged one - There's the case where, I saw 2 posts which exactly same, one by guest, one by username).

There's some different type of members (seem depends on number of confirmed posts that they got approved in the past): New User, Normal User. Normal User can post directly and his post immediately appear in forum (everyone be able to see). But more details, even this type of users can't post directly the post with URL (link) in content. If you're confirmed normal user and post pure text, you got automatically approved, if you post text with URL inside it then wait manual review/approving by Mod.
