Created a 65.6GB torrent and Tixati hanged for HOURS!

by Guest on 2015/08/30 03:51:20 AM
I've made bigger torrents with other clients and none did that. Even bloat heaven Azureus went smoother when I created a 125GB torrent.

Why does this happen? Is this only happening to me?

what OS? What version of Tixati? What is Settings-->Local Files-->File Allocation set to?

What exactly do you mean by 'hanged'? was it totally unresponsive for hours? just sluggish? was it just affecting tixati or your whole computer? how was your cpu while this has happening?

few more details please.

OS:Windows 10 x64
Tixati:v2.16
File Alloc:Sparse

It was totally unresponsive, it just had a blank window with the box outline for the RSS button and that's all. Only Tixati but CPU was in constant use because it was calculating/checking the hash.

Not really the case dude, I've made big torrents before with Tixati ranging from 5GB to 30GB but it was in previous versions. First time this happened.

I'm not freaked out, I'm upset.

I have seen this post but don't want to reply. Was this torrent different than the other IE file size or number of files?

A 200gb video torrent is totally different than a 50gb pic torrent. If it is pics or MP3s it is best to group and zip.

Tixati seems to have a problem with many small files even if the torrent is less than a GB.
